Through the joint efforts of the University of Nueva Caceres and Universitas Ahmad Dahlan of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, a Research Colloquium that bannered the theme, “Enhancing International Collaborative Research on Education, Sciences, and Humanities” was conducted last June 20 at the UNC Instructional Media Center.
The said academic seminar was attended by representatives and lecturers from the two aforementioned institutions.
UNC Vice President for Administration Dr. Eduardo H. Sison shared his welcome message to the participants and the visitors. It was followed by the imparting of the event’s objectives which were given by Dr. Dwi Sulisworo, Editor of UAD Research Publication, UAD Vice Director Postgraduate Program; and Dr. Nora Elizabeth F. Maniquiz, Dean of UNC College of Business and Accountancy.
Rules and procedures for the research presentations were even stated by the Dean of the UNC College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Josephine Alba.
Seven researches were invited to discuss in the event. Four of which were from UAD, namely: Phase Locked Loop Technique for Cryogenics Research and Education, presented by a Physics Education Lecturer, Dr. Yudhiakto Pramudya; Some Strategies for Enhancing Relations and Cooperation in the Field of Humanities, by Senior Lecturer of Letters Dr. Noer Doddy Irmawati; Development of Anti-Cancer Agent from Eurycoma Longifolia Jack, by Dr. Nurkhasanah, a Pharmacy Lecturer; and Enhancing Collaborative Research in Health for Consumer Protection, by a Law lecturer, Norma Sari.
UNC shared its three researches: Development and Ecosystem Conditions of the Municipality of Del Gallego, a project led by Yolanda L. Castroverde, Ph.D., the Research Director and the Assistant to the VP for Academic Affairs; Vegetarian Practices and Their Physical Health, by an MSES Major in Biology/Chemistry AS faculty member, Sheila O. Anzano; and CREATE: A Teacher Evaluation Model, by Dr. Romeo M. Sumayo, AS faculty member.
