Thursday, October 24, 2013, six delegates from the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC) and 1 delegate from the University of Saint Anthony (USANT), Philippines (Philippina / Philippines) visited Ahmad Dahlan University campus. The seven delegates were Dr. Emelita O. Menes, Atty Clarita B. Padilla, Ed.D., Professor. Dr.. Alida A. Mores, Prof. Ryan D. Bastareche, Prof. Mary Ann A. Pappica, Dr. Cesar B. Bermundo, and Prof. Estrella T. Arroyo. They were warmly welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor IV UAD, Prof. Sarbiran, M.Ed., Ph.D; Deputy Director of Graduate UAD, Dr. Dwi Sulisworo; Head Office of International Affairs (KUI) UAD, Ida Puspita, Mares., Dean, Kaprodi, and heads of bureaus and agencies in UAD.
UAD and UNC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) since 2010 and various cooperation activities as a form of realization intensive MoU has been implemented as joint seminars, cultural exchange programs, international service learning programs, and so on. On this occasion, delegations from visiting UNC UAD with a delegation of USANT are also eager to work with the UAD. Prof. Estrella T. Arroyo as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences USANT USANT Acting Director expressed the desire to hold cooperation with UAD. In this forum, the deans and related institutions in the UAD also discuss other opportunities for cooperation with two universities Philippina. Most of the discussion leads to the desire for joint reseach (joint research) such as comparative studies of culture or education in Philippina and in Indonesia.
Prof. Sarbiran, who gave a speech at the event, encouraged the deans and heads of agencies in the UAD to implement programs of international cooperation in order to realize the MoU MoU has been signed with various international institutions since the MoU signed will be in vain if no realization. Various activities that have been carried out is a form of UAD and UNC commitment to realize such cooperation. “That would have been walking stick and try to continue to be improved,” he added.
