Three UNC College of Education (CED) students and a faculty member participated in the first International Cultural Exchange Program at Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) in YogyakartaIndonesia from March 28 to April 13, 2015. They were Eunice Nieva (BSEd major in English),Gladys Jane Olayon (BSEd major in English), Ma. Blaise R. Soliven (BSEd major in BiologicalScience), and Butch Saulon (CED Faculty Member).
The UNC delegates participated in series of activities at the five campuses of UAD. Activitiesinclude Seminar-Workshop on Teaching Strategies in English and Science Education, DebateExhibition, Music and Dance Performances, Culinary Workshop, Mini Research, AstronomicalObservation of a Total Lunar Eclipse, Community Extension Activity, Comparative Dialogue onUNC and UADD Curriculum / Student Government, and International Symposium on BiologyEducation. Bringing UNC to the world and the world to UNC is part of UNC’s innovation for bettereducation. (BOS)
