NORA F. MANIQUIZ
Dean, College of Commerce
The College of Commerce and Accountancy offers integrated courses
in business and accountancy with varied fields of specialization,
so programmed as to develop men and women of well-rounded personalities,
thoroughly trained and prepared to tackle responsibilities in
industry as well as to develop upright citizens for the country.
This goal is worked through by providing students with theoretical
knowledge; by analysis of factual cases and problems in business;
and by periodic seminars, conferences and study tours to supplement
classroom activities. Practical experiences are likewise afforded
the students through a practicum program where students are
fielded in various companies and/or accounting and auditing
firms.
The two major courses offered are Bachelor of Science
in Accountancy, and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
with the following major fields of specialization: Finance,
Management, Marketing, Economics, Office Administration, and
Financial Accounting.
A review course for the CPA Examination has, since 1954, been
offered twice each school year to graduates of Accountancy.
The review starts during the month of May for those intending
to take the licensure examinations in October, and during the
month of October for those intending to take the examinations
in May.
