Joel F. Ochoa, 2nd Year AB Political Science Student of the University of Nueva Caceres, College of Arts and Sciences emerged as the undisputed Champion in the "WRITE, WRITE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS" Essay Writing Contest sponsored by the Commission of Human Rights Regional Office in Legaspi City, in celebration of the Human Rights Week last December 2008.
Besting other equally good contestants from the other leading institutions in the Bicol Region, Joel's essay earned the highest rating from the board of judges who carefully went over the 1,000 words essay or composition based on 3 important criterias, with 50% for content, 30% for style and 20% for structure.
Dean Araceli C. Delgado, of Arts & Sciences Department was ecstatic over the win and honor brought home to the University by Joel Ochoa who was accompanied in the competition by Dr. Fe D. Villania and Romeo M. Sumayao Jr. Faculty members of the University.
