The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants University of Nueva Caceres Chapter swept two awards from the recently-concluded 14th Regional Mid-Year Convention held last Sept. 26-28, 2008 at Tanchuling Hotel, Legaspi City.
Out of 120 participants from eight local chapters in Bicol, Johanalyn Barrio grabbed the 3rd place in the Sycip Gores Velayo & Co. Cup Level 1 while Liezel Navarro ranked 4th place in the PFRS/PAS Showdown, both are 3rd year accountancy students. These merits helped the JPIA-UNC ranked
3rd overall in the participating schools in the said convention.
BARRION AND Navarro qualified in the national event and representative the Bicol Region in the 11th National Mid-Year Convention held at La Virginia Resort and Hotel and Shercon Resort, Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas City, Region 4 last October 11-13, 2008, with the theme “Version in O.N.E Optimum New Order Empowerment: Nationwide Effort in Pursuing the Welfare of Accountancy Students in the
Philippines.”
