DESPITE the clamor of over 250 colleges and universities throughout the country to increase their tuition fees come June which has show signs of restlessness in some of its campuses, UNC students would see no tuition increase this school year, according to a statement release by the university’s executive vice president, Dr. Lourdes S. Anonas.
Instead, a rise would be imposed on miscellaneous chares, it was said.
University Treasurer Josefina H. Rances explained that the augmentation was much lighter
in the amount of P289 per semester as against about P700 if 10 percent of tuition as earlier proposed would be raised.
In the consultation made by school authorities with parents and students this semester the officials were much applauded on the wise decision they made.
The bursar assured that the additional fund o be collected would go to the improvement of facilities and equipment for regular use of students.
