The University of Nueva Caceres Senior High School Department maintains the university’s reputation of offering the most balanced education in the Bicol region. For one, we provide our students with quality education through an excellent curriculum and a highly competent faculty. We also enable students to experience holistic development through sports, arts, and other extra-curricular activities. With this holistic approach to learning, we have produced graduates who are more than college-ready.
UNC Senior High School Department is home to the most outstanding students in the region: recognized young leaders and achievers in various disciplines. Our alumni have created big names in many industries today — be it in the local, national, or international scene.
One thing that makes our high school students excel in both academics and life is the support they get from our educators. Our teachers utilize modern, innovative strategies in instruction. Classes are mostly heterogeneous, facilitating balanced and exciting interaction during lectures and discussions.
On top of that, since we are majority-owned by AC Education, UNC provides the Learning with Industry Collaboration (LINC) program for senior high school students. Whether the students prefer to pursue and succeed in college or enter the workforce directly, this program arms them with the appropriate capabilities. It also complements the academic strands that senior high school students choose under the K-12 program.
Academic Track with LINC
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS STRAND (STEM)
The UNC Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand offers experiential, extensive, and a constructivist learning experience for students who aspire to work in the field of Science or Mathematics. It provides opportunities for learners to develop skills in
experimentation, quantitative reasoning, and mathematical reasoning. UNC Senior High School is also the first in Bicol to offer 2 substrands: STEM Sciences; and STEM Engineering.
The UNC STEM Engineering is a program that provides a more extensive approach in driving Mathematical skills, and knowledge of learners who aspire to become engineers.
The UNC STEM Sciences drives technological skills, knowledge, and innovative thinking amongst learners. As early as Grade 11, learners are guided and challenged how to invent, modify, and improve technologies. In Grade 12, they will showcase their outputs through
a Science Fair which they will organize and present to other classes, including the public.
GENERAL ACADEMIC STRAND (GAS)
General Academic Strand (GAS) is purposively designed to give students a chance to weigh options of their career preference. They get to learn and experience specialized subjects from all the other strands like business, sciences and research to name a few. This opens a lot of
opportunities which will qualify them to proceed to any college courses of their choice.
ACCOUNTANCY, BUSINESS, AND MANAGEMENT (ABM)
Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) strand focuses on the basic concepts of financial management, business management, corporate operations, and all accounting matters. In this strand, the learners will be able to analyze assets, interpret profitability, understand
financial positions, and prepare audit accounts. ABM can also lead to careers directly related to management and accounting such as sales manager, human resources, marketing director, project officer, bookkeeper, accounting clerk, and internal auditor to name a few. The ABM curriculum allows one to get a deeper appreciation of the world of accounting and business management focusing on specialized subjects. The subjects in ABM will give you the essential tools needed to succeed in the world of business.
Information and Communications Technology-Computer Programming (ICT-CP)
Information and Communications Technology-Computer Programming (ICT-CP), focuses on training students to be proficient in using computer. Students create programs,develop websites and web applications. Students undergo 2-3 Java Assessment and earn certification. Students experience to work and train with IT professionals, to apply their knowledge and skills from school to the real world. Students undergo 180 hrs. work immersion experience.
Home Economics-Food and Beverage Services (FBS)
Food and Beverage Services (FBS), allows students to acquire skills and techniques on how to properly welcome guests and take food and beverage orders and how to promote food and beverage services to guests. Students undergo National Certification and Work Immersion for

Completers of the Junior High School Curricular Program are technology and digital media literate, language proficient, nurturing and empowered individuals who can efficiently respond to the challenges and demands of the academe and society.
